Hey everyone! This is me! Born and raised in the famous Fort Myers, Florida. I am currently living in Gainesville, Florida home of the Florida Gators!
This summer I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study abroad with the UF business school in Madrid, Spain! No hablo español... so I will be taking three Spanish classes at Universidad Nebrija! Hopefully I catch on fast! Two other UF students and I will be living in an apartment that has no air conditioning, no dryer, a gas stove, and limited Internet access. We are definitely going to have quite the experience trying to adjust to this new lifestyle.
My mom has always traveled with her job. As I grew older I became more aware of all of the places she was traveling to and wanted to join. I wanted see all of the famous attractions with my own eyes. It wasn’t until recently that I realized there is more to traveling than going to the popular tourist sites. I am going to Madrid to see how their lifestyle differs from ours here in America and to become more culturally aware of our diverse world.
By writing this blog, I hope that you will be able to see my growth as an individual and also live vicariously through my adventures. One important thing for you, as a reader, to remember: even though I am having adventures across the Atlantic, there are so many adventures in your own backyard for you to enjoy. (Maybe like wandering around Lake Alice?)
